About Me
First Gen:
immigrant,
US college student,
medical student
Beatrice was born and raised in Italy and immigrated to Michigan at age twelve. Now a U.S. citizen fluent in three languages, she values connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Her passion for research and innovation extends beyond surgery. When her grandmother in Italy was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, she founded Music for Dementia (MFD), which has grown to seven chapters and inspired ongoing research on music-based interventions.
Her background in the fine arts, through ceramics and establishing her own crochet business, has trained her creative mind and strengthened her manual dexterity, skill she applies in the OR. Passionate about anatomy, she assisted plastic surgery residents in cadaveric dissections.
Outside medicine, she also enjoys sailing, Latin dancing, skiing, and singing.
